The South East Engineering Festival
Engineers design products and processes that make our everyday lives easy. Engineers combine science, maths and computing with design thinking to create the things we depend on, such as buildings, bridges, roads, water supplies, electricity supplies, mobile phones, computers and much more. Engineers are also working to find ways of reducing the threat of Climate Change.
The South East Engineering Festival takes place every year at the beginning of March. During the Festival people in the South East of Ireland have the opportunity to learn what engineers are, what they do, and how they do it.
This festival is coordinated by CALMAST, the School of Engineering at SETU Waterford and the Faculty of Engineering at SETU Carlow, Engineers Ireland from the South East Region and ‘Engineering the South East‘ industry cluster.
The festival is part of National Engineers Week, organised by Engineers Ireland. You can find out lots about Engineering in their website.
